DMS helps make residential trip possible for Ealing pupils

With support from DMS Property Maintenance, 15 pupils from Ealing were able to travel to a residential camp in Kent — an opportunity that would otherwise have been out of reach. Many of the young people face learning challenges, social-emotional needs, and financial barriers, meaning access to experiences like this is often limited.

The impact:

  • Built confidence, independence, and resilience
  • Strengthened peer relationships
  • Increased awareness of nature and sustainability
  • Enabled equal access to a life-changing experience

This project shows how a small investment can unlock significant impact — giving young people the opportunity to grow, connect, and thrive.

We received some excellent feedback from Anna at TGC Fundraising….

” I am emailing with an update on the Hobbs Hill camps that DMS Property Maintenance generously supported.  We’re about halfway through the camp season now, and we welcomed our first group of secondary school students before half-term.  We had some great feedback.  When asked what the children gained from taking part. teachers told us:”

“Resilience – feeling part of something and being outside – mostly they are indoors attached to a device.  Socialising and communicating in person…”

“The food was amazing, the resources were great – we really appreciated the hot water bottles and extra sleeping bags.  The art room was a lovely idea.  We loved our time with you.”
