Founded in 1998
DMS was founded in 1998 by Doug Senior to maintain a large housing estate near Dover, Kent carrying out general repairs, caretaking and gardening services.
Due to expansion within Kent, Doug’s Daughter Fiona joined in 2003 leading the way in Tendering and securing large social housing contracts aiding the growth to what it is today
The business expands
In 2003, Doug’s daughter, Fiona, joined the business and now serves as Managing Director. Under her leadership, the company has grown to employ more than 40 in-house tradespeople, delivering services to over 18,000 properties and completing in excess of 12,000 repairs annually.
Our experienced team provides a comprehensive range of services, including 24/7 emergency repairs, routine and planned maintenance, void property works, caretaking, cleaning and grounds maintenance. We are committed to delivering high-quality, reliable services that meet the needs of our clients and the communities they serve.

We continually invest in both an experienced, stable workforce who understand the environment we operate in, implementing effective management controls including proven processes and procedures, embedded management software and developing an experienced management team.

Key achievements during this time include:


Fiona is Doug's daughter and when she joined the company she brought with her, extensive operational and business management experience, previously managing teams of over 150 employees. Fiona's dedication, skills and expertise were major factors in helping to drive the company forward, increasing turnover, employees and services.

Adds an out of hours service to the existing contact centre delivering a 24/7 responsive maintenance.

As the business continues to grow achieved ISO 9001 Quality Management & 14001 Environmental Management Certification.


Continue to invest in the recruitment and training of the team and developing recognised operational systems achieving Investors in People, Construction Line SSIP and Safe Contractor
Achieves 25 years continuous service with one Housing Association delivering a range of services including planned and responsive maintenance, cleaning and grounds maintenance.
Becomes a £6m turnover business delivering significant social value benefits within the communities we serve.
