Positive Input Ventilation
Did you know that 1 in 5 properties in the U.K are poorly ventilated?
This leads to mould growth, streaming windows and poor indoor air quality.
Resident
lifestyle
is
a
major
factor,
producing
around
10
litres
of
water
per
day,
excess
moisture
is
absorbed
in
to
the
air
and
is
automatically
attracted
to
cold
spots
and
condenses
on
the
windows
and
walls.
Even
properties
that
have
been
made
more
energy
efficient
are
also
at
risk
as
the
moisture
stays
trapped
in
the
home.
Condensation
on
the
windows
is
often
the
first
sign
of
the
problem,
closely
followed
by
black
marks
on
the
wall.
These
damp
condensations
can
lead
to
serious health conditions like asthma.
So what is the cure for these conditions? Positive Input Ventilation
This
is
a
new
service
that
DMS
are
offering
which
will
save
landlords,
housing
associations
and
home owners money and reduce health risks for the residents.
In a small amount of time we can install a ceiling diffuser in to your loft space.
This
will
dilute
the
air
and
replace
the
air
within
your
home
in
which
dust
mites
can
not
exist
and
the excess moisture is removed.
This
process
aids
protect
the
whole
fabric
of
the
house
and
in
turn
reduce
maintenance
costs.
Over 1 million homes are already using Positive Input Ventilation so why not join them now?
Examples of Positive Input Ventilation installed by DMS:
Example 1:
A
3
Bedroom
Bungalow
in
CT18
area
had
a
serious
condensation
issue.
The
windows
and
walls
were
running
with
water
and
there
was
mould
growth
on
every
single
wall
in
the
property.
When
DMS
attended
it
was
clear
for
us
to
see
that
works
that
had
been
completed
by
alternative
contractor
had
not
counteracted
the
issues.
To
make
things
worse,
the
occupants
had
been
charged around £3000.00 for the works that were supposed to make their home mould free!
We
installed
positive
input
ventilation
in
to
their
home
for
just
£843.25
plus
vat
and
within
3
months
we
are
pleased
to
say
there
were
no
more
issues.
We,
of
course,
followed
up
with
a
telephone
call
around
2
years
later
and
were
pleased
to
hear
there
are
still
no
signs
of
condensation or any of the issues in the property.
Example 2:
A
3
bedroom
home
in
the
CT20
area,
this
was
a
home
that
was
being
rented
to
a
tenant.
The
landlord
had
already
spent
£10,000
on
damp
works
in
the
past
and
the
tenant
was
still
having
to
use
a
window
vac
to
remove
the
water
on
a
daily
basis,
filling
a
2
–
3
litre
container
each
day.
Here,
we
could
see
mould
growth
on
the
lower
walls
and
higher
walls,
there
was
a
strong
damp
smell throughout the house.
DMS
attended
and
installed
positive
input
ventilation
and
within
14
weeks
there
issue
had
been
rectified.
The
landlord’s
invoice
came
to
a
total
of
£962.96
plus
vat.
When
we
first
visited,
the
landlord
was
ready
to
sell
the
property,
now
both
the
landlord
and
the
tenant
have
been
left
happy thanks to DMS and positive input ventilation.
